The interior art glass design includes colors and forms of the natural surroundings near the temple in purples, blues, greens and golds. The art glass on the main level at the baptistry depicts snowy egrets in wetlands and grasses, reflecting the Saratoga Springs City logo. Utah Lake is represented in the wave and water patterns at the bottom of the art glass panels. Stylized gold shapes above the water represent silhouettes of birds, and the stylized mountains represent the Wasatch Mountains.

Here’s Your First Look Inside the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple
The design cues and color palette of the temple are inspired by the blues, purples, golds, and greens of surrounding flora and fauna, such as wildflowers, marsh grass, reeds, and snowy egrets. The temple’s open house period includes an April 10, 2023, media day and private sessions for invited guests April 11, 2023, with the public open house beginning Saturday, April 15, and running through July 8, 2023, excluding Sundays. Inside the temple, various stylized wildflowers — including the iris, daisy and chrysanthemum — are represented throughout. In the baptistry and other areas of the temple, stylized lines representing water, waves and mountains reference the Wasatch Front and Utah Lake. Even the door hardware replicates the design details of the grass/wetlands features and the water lines.
The new temple stands majestic and serene against an incredible landscape. Design elements on the exterior concrete walls and decorative band depict mountains, wetlands, and snow egrets (the logo of Saratoga Springs). The design of the decorative door hardware, manufactured by Luna Bronze in Provo, Utah, replicates architectural detailing found in the temple.
The Sunday, June 4, rededication will be by President M. Russell Ballard, Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. President Dallin H. Oaks, first counselor in the First Presidency will dedicate the Richmond temple on Sunday, May 7. The decorative light fixtures are manufactured and designed through HB Lighting in New York. The bride’s room has Schonbek light fixtures manufactured with Swarovski Crystal from Austria.
Custom rugs in the bride’s room, entry and patron waiting areas were manufactured by Rugs International, headquartered in the United States, and manufactured in Guangdong, China. The temple site sits on a bluff overlooking Utah Lake and the Wasatch Front. Local plant species were selected for a natural landscape and sustainability.
The interior of the font has TREND Mosaic Brillante glass tiles in various colors of blues, whites, creams and purples. The custom pattern of the natural stone floor in the lower font area underneath the oxen was also designed by the architectural team. The Saratoga Springs Utah Temple and an adjoining meetinghouse stand on an expansive 22.71-acre site near the western shores of Utah Lake at the end of tree-lined Founders Boulevard. The design reflects the quiet peace and inspiration of the surrounding mountains and wetlands. The entrance plaza is anchored by a tiered water feature surrounded by manicured gardens. A grassy lawn with meandering walkways fills the east side of the property.
The temple was announced in April 2017 by then-Church President Thomas S. Monson. The three-story temple of approximately 87,000 square feet is located at 987 S. An adjacent meetinghouse of 21,000 square feet was also built on the 22.7-acre site.
